Buy MUTT Cowbells
If you want to buy MUTT Cowbells, you are getting one of the most unusual and versatile implements in a home gym. Each cowbell is a single piece of cast iron shaped like a bell with a wide handle on top and a bored center hole. You can swing it like a kettlebell, carry it by the handle, or load a pair onto an Olympic barbell where they swing as the bar moves. They are made in the USA by Mutt and sold in 25LB and 50LB pairs.
All pairs are brand-new and ship free to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC.

Three Ways to Train With Cowbells
On the barbell: loaded on a bar, the cowbells hang and swing as you move. That unstable load forces your core, shoulders and stabilizer muscles to work harder during squats, presses, lunges and carries. Off the bar: the handle lets you perform kettlebell-style swings, farmers carries and shrugs. For grip: the handle on the 50LB cowbell is a full inch thick, which challenges hand strength.
- Unstable-load barbell work for core and stability
- Swings and carries with a long, offset center of mass
- Compact storage with interlocking tabs
Who Should Buy MUTT Cowbells?
Strongman athletes, functional fitness coaches and garage gym lifters who want something different from standard plates will get the most out of them. Start light: the swinging load is harder than it looks. For another off-bar implement from Mutt, see Mutt Wheels. For classic plates with handles, compare the Rogue 12-Sided Urethane Grip Plate. Safety Notes
Use collars when loading cowbells on a barbell, keep movements controlled and train with plenty of clear space around you. Cast iron implements should not be dropped, so set them down under control on rubber flooring.
