What to Expect From Crumb Rubber Bumpers
Crumb rubber bumpers are thicker and softer than virgin rubber or urethane plates. The 75 durometer rubber has more bounce than firmer bumpers, which some lifters like for its forgiving feel. Because they are wider, you will fit less total weight on a sleeve: a 45LB plate is 3.75 inches wide. For most home gym lifters, that is plenty of room. In exchange you get a tough, American-made plate made from recycled material.
- Made in the USA from recycled rubber
- Softer rubber that is gentle on floors
- Stainless insert for a smooth fit on the bar

Rogue Bumper Plates by Hi-Temp FAQ
Are Hi-Temp bumper plates made in the USA?
Yes. They are produced at Hi-Temp's plant in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
Do Hi-Temp bumpers bounce more than other bumpers?
The softer 75 durometer rubber has more bounce than firmer bumpers. Training on a platform or rubber flooring helps control it.
How accurate are they?
Rogue lists a tolerance of ±0.5LB per plate.
Why choose Hi-Temp over thinner bumpers?
Buyers usually pick Hi-Temp for American manufacture, recycled material and a forgiving, softer feel. If you need maximum weight on the sleeve for very heavy lifts, a thinner virgin rubber or steel-disc bumper may suit you better.
