Buy Rogue Calibrated KG Steel Plates
When you buy Rogue Calibrated KG Steel Plates from this listing, you are getting Rogue's first-generation calibrated kilogram steel plates, offered here as 50KG and 20KG pairs. A pair of 50KG plates puts 100 kilograms on the bar with just two plates, which is a big advantage for strong lifters who run out of sleeve space on heavy deadlifts and squats.
Each pair is brand-new and ships free to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC. The 20KG pair may show as out of stock in the option menu; it becomes selectable again when restocked.
What Is in This Listing
| Option | What you get | Total added to bar |
|---|---|---|
| 50KG pair | Two 50KG calibrated steel plates | 100KG |
| 20KG pair | Two 20KG calibrated steel plates | 40KG |
These are steel calibrated plates for standard Olympic barbells with 2-inch sleeves. Calibrated plates are adjusted after manufacturing so each plate matches its labeled weight much more closely than ordinary cast plates.
Why Choose 50KG Plates?
Heavy lifters often hit a practical limit before a strength limit: the sleeve fills up. Replacing two 25KG plates per side with one 50KG plate frees space for more weight, shortens loading time and keeps the bar's load closer to the plates' inside edge. For deadlift and squat specialists, a pair of 50KG plates can make a 300KG+ bar much easier to set up.
- Fewer plates: 100KG on the bar with one plate per side
- More sleeve room: space for heavier totals
- Faster loading: fewer plates to slide on and off between sets
Training in Kilograms
Powerlifting meets are loaded in kilograms. Training with kilo plates means no conversions and no rounding, so your gym numbers match what you will see on the meet platform. If you want the full range of kilogram plates, including small change plates, see the current-generation Rogue Calibrated KG Steel Plates 2.0. For precise small jumps, add the Rogue Calibrated KG Steel Change Plates.
Handling Heavy Plates Safely
A 50KG plate weighs about 110 pounds. Lift it with your legs, keep it close to your body and roll it on its edge when moving it across the floor. Store heavy plates on the lowest pegs of your plate tree or rack to reduce strain, and never drop a loaded iron bar; lower it under control onto a platform.
