Buy Rogue LB Change Plates

These are rubber-coated change plates with a metal center, calibrated to within ±10 grams and color-coded in green, blue and white. They let you add weight to the bar in small, precise steps instead of jumping 10 pounds at a time.

Why Change Plates Matter
Progressive overload works best in small steps. Once you are past the beginner stage, adding 10 pounds to a press or bench every week is not realistic. A pair of 1.25LB plates adds just 2.5 pounds to the bar, which keeps your program moving without stalling. The rubber coating also protects your bar and other plates and keeps loading quieter than bare iron.
- Small jumps for presses, bench and accessory lifts
- Accurate to ±10g, so your numbers are real
- Color coding makes the right plate easy to find
Sets vs Single Pairs
The 35LB set includes two each of the 2.5LB, 5LB and 10LB plates. The 37.5LB set works out to one pair of every size, including the 1.25LB plates. Buy single pairs if you already own some change plates and only need to fill a gap. We also sell the 35LB Change Plate Set as its own listing. For even finer jumps, add Rogue LB Fractional Plates.
Using Change Plates with Bumpers
Change plates are often loaded on the outside of rubber bumpers during Olympic lifting and conditioning workouts. Because these plates have a metal center, they are not meant to be dropped on their own. Keep them on the outside of heavier bumpers, and use a lifting platform or rubber flooring. They pair well with Rogue Echo Bumper Plates V2.
