Buy Rogue LB Fractional Plates

Lifters who buy Rogue LB Fractional Plates want to keep progressing when 5-pound jumps get too big. These micro plates come in 0.25LB, 0.5LB, 0.75LB and 1LB pairs, or a 5LB full set with one pair of each. They are color-coded, accurate to ±10 grams and fit any standard Olympic barbell, so you can add as little as half a pound to the bar.

All pairs and sets are brand-new and ship free to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC.

Why Fractional Plates Work

Strength gains slow down as you get stronger, especially on upper-body lifts. A 5-pound jump on a 100-pound overhead press is a 5% increase in one session, which is hard to sustain week after week. Fractional plates let you add 0.5 to 2 pounds instead. Small, steady increases add up: an extra pound a week is more than 50 pounds over a year.

  • 0.75LB pair: +1.5LB
  • 1LB pair: +2LB

The 5LB Full Set

The 5LB full set includes one pair of each size, so you can add anywhere from 0.5LB to 5LB in half-pound steps. It is the best value if you want full control over your loading. Pair it with standard change plates such as the Rogue LB Change Plates for a complete small-plate kit. For kilogram programs, see the Rogue KG Fractional Plates. For dumbbells, use the Rogue Add-On Change Plate Pair instead.

Who Should Use Fractional Plates?

Intermediate and advanced lifters, older lifters, anyone focused on pressing strength, and lifters returning from injury benefit most. Coaches also use fractional plates to keep clients progressing on bench and overhead press without stalling.

Rogue LB Fractional Plates FAQ

What is in the 5LB full set?

One pair each of the 0.25LB, 0.5LB, 0.75LB and 1LB plates.

Do fractional plates fit any Olympic barbell?

Yes. The 50.40mm opening fits standard 2-inch Olympic sleeves.

How accurate are they?

Rogue calibrates them to within ±10 grams.

Why is the 0.25LB plate all rubber?

At such a light weight, a steel core is not needed to reach the target. The heavier 0.5LB, 0.75LB and 1LB plates use steel with a rubber coating so they stay thin. Either way, the rubber surface protects your bar and the plates next to it.

Where should fractional plates go on the bar?

Load them on the outside of your other plates, then add a collar. Keeping them outermost makes them easy to add or remove between sets.
