Choosing to buy Rogue MIL Spec Echo Bumper plates gets you a no-frills, matte black rubber bumper with a raised black logo and weight markings. It is a variant of Rogue's Echo line with a tactical look, and Rogue lists it as approved for the U.S. Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT). That makes it a natural fit for service members, first responders and anyone training for a fitness test at home.

MIL Spec Echo Specifications
The MIL Spec Echo uses a full 450mm diameter and stainless steel inserts. Rogue uses a slightly firmer rubber on the light plates to help them hold up.

Rogue's listed warranty is 2 years on the 25LB to 45LB plates and 90 days on the 10LB and 15LB plates, which are not covered if dropped on their own.
Training for the ACFT at Home
The ACFT includes a three-repetition maximum deadlift, typically performed with a hex bar. Having full-diameter bumpers at home lets you practice that lift at the right height and drop the bar safely after your final rep. The 10LB and 15LB plates are useful for warm-ups and for building up in small steps. For even smaller jumps, add Rogue LB Fractional Plates.

How are these different from regular Echo bumpers?
They are a style variant of the Echo line with a matte black finish and raised black markings. The 10LB and 15LB plates use a firmer 90 durometer rubber.
Can I drop a bar loaded only with the 10LB plates?
Avoid it. Rogue's warranty does not cover the 10LB and 15LB plates when they are dropped on their own. Pair them with heavier bumpers for drops.
