Buy Rogue USA Olympic Change Plates

Lifters who buy Rogue USA Olympic Change Plates are looking for small, precise iron plates made in America. These change plates come in pairs from 0.25LB to 10LB, are finished in electrically applied e-coat and are calibrated to +2%/-0%, so a plate never comes in under its label weight.

Every pair is brand-new and ships free to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC. Some sizes may show as out of stock in the option menu; they become selectable again when restocked.

Made in Michigan and Ohio

Rogue casts the 10LB plates from ductile iron in Cadillac, Michigan, and the 5LB and smaller plates from Class 30 grey iron in Portsmouth, Ohio. That makes these one of the few change plate lines manufactured entirely in the United States.

The plates fit standard Olympic barbells with 50mm sleeves and have a slim profile that leaves plenty of room on the sleeve.

Why Go Smaller Than 2.5 Pounds?

Most gyms stop at 2.5LB plates, which means a 5-pound minimum jump. For an overhead press or bench press, that can be a big percentage of the lift. Pairs of 0.25LB, 0.5LB and 1LB plates let you add as little as half a pound to the bar. Small, consistent increases are easier to recover from and help you avoid long plateaus.

  • 0.25LB pair: adds 0.5LB to the bar
  • 0.5LB pair: adds 1LB
  • 1LB pair: adds 2LB
  • 2.5LB to 10LB pairs: standard progressions

Who Uses Fractional Iron Plates?

Powerlifters peaking for a meet, older lifters who need gentle progressions, and anyone training upper-body lifts benefit most from plates under 2.5 pounds. Strength coaches also use them to keep clients progressing on presses and pull-ups with a dip belt. Because these plates are thin iron, a full set stacks neatly on a small storage peg and takes up almost no space in a home gym.

Pair Them With USA-Made Plates

These change plates match the Rogue USA Olympic Plates and also appear as add-on options for Rogue Deep Dish Plates. For a budget alternative, compare the Rogue Olympic Change Plates.
