Why Train on IWF-Approved Plates?
Weightlifting is a sport of precision. Training on the same type of plate you will lift in competition removes surprises: the bar sits at the same height, the plates land the same way and the colors match what you will see at a USA Weightlifting meet. The ±15 gram calibration means your 120KG snatch in training is truly 120KG. Coaches running sanctioned events also need IWF-approved equipment on the platform.
- Identical look and feel to meet plates
- Thin, steel-core design for heavy loads
- IWF color coding by kilogram

Rogue KG Competition Plates (IWF) FAQ
Are these plates IWF approved?
Yes. Rogue lists them as IWF approved for competitive use, and each plate carries the IWF logo.
What colors are the plates?
10KG green, 15KG yellow, 20KG blue and 25KG red, following IWF standards.
How thick is the 25KG plate?
66mm, or 2.50 inches.
Do I need a platform for competition plates?
A proper weightlifting platform or thick rubber flooring is strongly recommended. It protects the plates, the barbell and your floor, and gives a consistent landing surface. Repeated drops on bare concrete wear plates faster and can crack the slab over time. A wood-center platform with rubber sides is the setup most US clubs use.
